Kristen’s Fund Gala Attracts Coin Up Donors

admin September 21, 2017

Kristen Palumbo Longo was a free spirit with a bright smile and warm embrace. As the mother of four, and a registered nurse, her compassionate nature touched everyone she knew. Tragically, on September 28, 2009, Kristin lost her life to domestic violence. This past March the first annual Kristen’s Fund Gala was held in New York City. The nonprofit is dedicated to domestic violence prevention and awareness.

During the event with a sold out crowd of five hundred, Coin Up was introduced with an impressive 10% of attendees downloading the app right then and there. For those of you with live events on the horizon, here’s how Kristen’s Fund attracted new donors through Coin Up; * Quarter page instruction sheets on how to download and sign up for the app were placed on each table. * When everyone was seated, the host made a two-minute presentation including the one-minute Coin Up explainer video. * After the presentation, event organizers walked among the tables and asked if anyone had questions about Coin Up. The Kristen’s Fund Gala raised over $105,000 through auction items and sponsor donations to fund public education and domestic violence prevention. They also laid the groundwork for ongoing monthly donations with their in-person appeal to donate through Coin Up.
